Purpose:

This Finance and Accounting Intern will work with several of our finance groups on a rotational basis. This 12-week program will include 4 rotations in the following areas: Accounting/Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis). Interns are typically required to work onsite at our Pittsburgh office, with the option for remote work on certain days based on department schedules.

Hourly Rate: $15.00/Hour, 40 hours per week

Timing: 12 weeks. Start & end dates are flexible.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Contribute to monthly accounting close cycle
• Prepare reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Process vendor invoices for payment
• Receive customer payments and generate customer invoicing
• Assist with tax reporting
• Develop reports and dashboards to support financial analysis
• Support the accounting team with other ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Position Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
